Community Memorial Hospital is
an acute care, not-for-profit hospital licensed
by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Since 1951, The Hospital has provided compassionate,
patient centered health care to area residents.

The
hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art
cardiac monitoring in its eight bed special
care unit. Newly renovated emergency rooms,
staffed by nurses and physicians 24 hours per
day, 365 days a year, provide privacy and comfort
for the patient and family. The surgery department
uses state-of-the-art fiber optic scopes for
many one-day surgical procedures. The radiology
department offers fully accredited mammography
service, in-house CT scanning, Nuclear Medicine
services, and mobile MRI services. A full range
laboratory, physical therapy and respiratory
therapy services, inlcuding cardiac and pulmonary
rehabiliation services, are available.
Community
Memorial Hospital has established
programs to address the needs of the community:
Home Health Care, Rural Health Clinic, outreach
education programs, one-day surgery, chemotherapy
and specialty services that bring medical
specialists from the urban areas into the
community. The hospital is staffed by a variety
of physicians: general surgeons, family practitioners,
nurse practitioner, internal medicine and
pediatrics, as well as over 40 medical specialists
including OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Neurology,
Cardiology, Pulmonary, Dermatology, Podiatry,
Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Urology,
Oncology, Ear-Nose-Throat, and Audiology.
In addition to the highly skilled medical
staff, Community Memorial Hospital employs
over 100 dedicated, well trained health care
providers including registered nurses, technicians,
technologists, therapists, pharmacists, support
staff, Auxiliary, and volunteers. The hospital
also works in conjuction with the Staunton
Area Ambulance Service. Heritage Manor, a
privately owned skilled nursing facility,
is located directly across the street.
