Boat Stickers can be purchased at city hall or after hours at the police department.

Boat Rules
- Unlimited Horsepower Allowed
- No Wake Strictly Enforced
- All boats must have a license. Licenses effective March 31 through March 30 of the following year and shall be displayed near the State Registration number
- No craft shall be used or operated or any horn or sound device soas to creat a nuisance or disturb the quiet or any person. All motors shall be equipped with mufflers.
- The running of any craft after dark without proper lighting is prohibited, as according to law
- All regulations of the Illinois Boat Registration and Safety Act apply to boats operated on Staunton Lake
Prohibited Activities - Strictly Enforced
- No Camping
- No Swimming / Bathing
- No Fires
- No Glass Containers
- No Littering
- No Firearms
Fishing Regulations
Limits:
Large Mouth Bass
- Minimum 15 inches in length
- Limit of three (3) per day
Channel Catfish
- No length restriction
- Limit of six (6) per day
Pole and Line Fishing Only
- Limit of two (2) poles with no more than two (2) hooks per line
No Trout Lines, Bank Lines or Jugging Lines as governed by Department of Conservation
No person shall take or catch or attempt to take or catch fish of any kind from Staunton Lake contrary to the provisions of the State of Illinois Game and Fish Code
Fishing from any boat or water craft is prohibited during the state Duck and Geese hunting season
